OUR HISTORY
William Branch & Son, Inc. was founded in 1913 by William Branch. His son, Dan, entered the picture when he was a young boy, helping his dad with a few jobs and then started working full time at the age of 16. He officially went into business as a partner with his father in 1942, when the company got its current name, William Branch & Son, Inc. They had a shop on Barret Avenue and Breckinridge. It moved a few times until it reached its current location at 1442 Hugh Avenue.
Dan had one son, Bill, and he started in the business like his father, helping with jobs when he was very young and officially beginning to work at 16 years of age. Dan retired in 1983 and Bill took over as owner at that time. All of Bill’s four children have worked for the company with now only two currently working, along with one grandson, Danny, heading the HVAC department. His daughter Wendy works as the Office Manager. George his grandson, works as an HVAC service technician and Paul Hoefflin now heads the plumbing department. Bill retired in 2008 and the company is currently in its fifth generation of family ownership and operation.
